We are seeking an experienced
Piping Designer
to support a long-term contract assignment based in
Houston, TX
(office-based). This role will provide design support for a major hydrogen processing facility currently under development in the Western U.S. The project involves a large-scale renewable energy build being executed on a previously industrial site, requiring thoughtful integration of new systems with existing infrastructure.

Hydrogen processing / renewable energy Responsibilities: Develop piping layouts, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings in compliance with project standards and specifications. Coordinate with process, mechanical, and I&C engineers to ensure proper integration of piping systems. Prepare 3D models and support clash detection reviews using industry-standard design tools. Generate bill of materials (BOMs) and support procurement activities. Review vendor data and ensure alignment with project requirements. Support constructability reviews and provide input to field engineering teams as needed. Qualifications: 5+ years of piping design experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or hydrogen/renewable energy facilities. Proficiency with 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, SmartPlant 3D, or similar. Strong understanding of piping codes, standards, and materials selection. Experience with large-scale process facility design preferred. Familiarity with challenges of designing within brownfield environments and integrating new piping into existing infrastructure is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
