The Brand Consulting department works at the intersection of entertainment, sports, and culture to help brands stay ahead of the curve. The Experiential team creates immersive, memorable brand experiences through festivals, live events, hospitality, and more, leveraging CAA’s access to talent and IP to make ideas resonate.

The Role

We are seeking a highly creative, conceptually-driven Art Director (focused on experiential) to join our growing creative team. This role reports to the Experiential Creative Director on one of our biggest clients, helping bring their brand to life across sports and entertainment verticals. From music festivals and F1 activations to NBA All-Star Weekend and corporate hospitality, this Art Director will help shape T-Mobile’s brand presence across a wide variety of live experiences. This is a hands-on creative role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and is energized by the energy of live events. The ideal candidate is a cultural sponge with a strong design aesthetic, an eye for visual storytelling, and a passion for shaping how brands show up in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Experiential Creative Director, Art Directors, Designers, and Producers to concept and visualize experiential activations
  • Create compelling mood boards, concept sketches, and look-and-feel studies that define the creative direction of each project
  • Contribute ideas for experience design, spatial flow, art direction, and guest journey in early-stage creative development
  • Own the visual storytelling in decks and presentations, helping to communicate ideas clearly and with polish
  • Participate in brainstorms, creative working sessions, and client presentations with confidence
  • Work with 3D renderers and spatial designers to ensure accurate translation of visual concepts
  • Maintain awareness of trends in culture, design, and technology that could inform or enhance experiential work
  • Help guide junior designers and provide feedback on visual execution when needed
  • Balance multiple projects at once while maintaining quality and meeting tight deadlines

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in theater design, exhibit design, or a related field, preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience in experiential, live event, sports, or entertainment marketing
  • Strong portfolio showcasing concept development, mood boards, sketches, and environmental design work
  • Expert-level skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Strong understanding of composition, typography, and spatial visualization
  • Experience designing for presentations in PowerPoint
  • Professional, detail-oriented, and highly organized
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
  • A skilled visual storyteller with a passion for branding, pop culture, and live experiences
  • Equally comfortable with hands-on design execution and concept development
  • A natural collaborator who thrives in team environments and can take direction while contributing strong creative POVs
  • Strong communicator who can explain visual ideas clearly and persuasively to internal teams and clients
  • Deeply curious and constantly seeking out new cultural references, design techniques, and inspiration

Preferred Skills

  • Rendering capability in Photoshop, SketchUp, or a 3D platform of your choice is preferred, for concepts only

Location

The Brand Consulting department offers a flexible work schedule and requires three days per week on-site at our New York office.

Compensation

The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $95,000-$157,000. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus.
