Overview

Print Designer/Artist for a high‑volume Missy apparel company. Responsible for print, pattern full‑scale artwork. Must be able to develop production ready, trend‑right artwork. Strong Illustrator and Photoshop skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Communicate with overseas company office/team members to ensure cohesive art vision and consistent workflow processes.
• Design or redesign complex layouts and artwork from general written or verbal specifications from Sr Designer/Head of Design.
• Work with design team to direct reference information used for inspiration.
• Conduct trend research online, at trade shows and through local comparison shopping.
• Review design layouts to identify and resolve problems involving compatibility with basic design concepts.
• Work with Design Team and Production to investigate and resolve problems with existing artwork.
• Participate in engineering and manufacturing design reviews to evaluate design concepts and make recommendations.
• Make corrections to the drawings as requested by the Sr Designer/Head of Design.
• Provide alternative artwork concepts to meet customer requirements.
• Create and maintain an organizational database/library of art records for future reference purposes.
• Create ownership of art library organization and formatting.
• Assist team in CAD drawing and design as needed.

Qualifications

• Generally, 6+ years’ experience creating prints.
• Knowledge of the commercial fabric printing and production process including strong knowledge of repeats, factory limitations, color separations, and fabric limitations.
• Excellent color and print sensibility, with an eye for fashion and detail.

Salary: $70,000-$90,000
