The Audio-Visual Technician I is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio, video, and lighting equipment in both live and studio environments. This role supports the ministry through a variety of production and technical needs, ensuring smooth execution of live events, worship services, studio recordings, and Charis classes.
Essential Duties:
- Support the setup, operation, and breakdown of audio, video, and lighting systems for both live events and studio productions.
- Assist in the configuration and operation of technical equipment used for recordings, broadcasts, classes, and live presentations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in both studio and live production spaces.
- Collaborate with producers, directors, technical supervisors, and other team members to ensure technical demands are met.
- Provide support for recordings and live streams, including camera work, audio mixing and recording, video recording and media management, media playback, and live graphics and lighting.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance before and after events or shoots.
- Take direction via headset and adjust as necessary during live events and studio recordings from Technical Directors and Producers.
- Help with the setup and teardown of studio sets, practical props, technical infrastructure, live band stages, portable audio, and other staging elements as required.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of production processes by staying informed on current trends and technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support studio and campus production needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic understanding of how audio, video, and lighting equipment work, or a strong interest in learning.
- Comfortable using or learning to use sound boards, cameras, lights, and media software.
- Able to follow instructions and stay calm while working during live productions or studio recordings.
- Willingness to learn how to set up, plug in, and organize cables, microphones, cameras, and other gear.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Able to work on a team and communicate clearly with supervisors, teachers, on-set talent, and other crew members.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, set up and tear down AV equipment, and work on a ladder if needed.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends during conferences.
- Open to learning new skills and staying up to date with equipment and production tools.
Requirements:
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must sign the Statement of Faith.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the mission and values of Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College.
- A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
- Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.
- Occasional extended hours based on production needs.
- Must pass all required checks
Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in a studio, film, live event, or church production setting preferred.
- Experience with sound consoles, video switching, photography, or camera operation is beneficial.
- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
