Overview
Adjunct Faculty, Fashion Studies - FA25 – College of DuPage seeks adjunct faculty members to teach Fashion Studies. COD faculty are committed to facilitating and supporting student success in learning and to meeting the individual educational needs of our multicultural campus. The successful adjunct candidate will be committed to teaching in a multicultural environment and may have the opportunity to teach a flexible schedule that could include days, evenings, and weekends. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Adjunct Faculty instructors are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as face-to-face, online, hybrid, and/or blended formats. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
Required Qualifications
We seek adjunct faculty members to teach courses in fashion design technology utilizing Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, CLO3D, and similar software tools.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a closely related design discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in a fashion design related field.
- Proficient with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with CLO3D.
- Knowledge of current industry practices with an emphasis on emerging technology.
- Teaching experience at the college level.
- Face-to-face instruction on campus.
Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching is preferred. Access to personal technology and a home computer with the ability to teach online is required.
These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments. A pre-employment background check at the College’s expense is required.
