Athenix Solutions Group is hiring: Graphic Designer II in Bay Ridge Junction

Athenix Solutions Group is looking for a Graphic Designer II in Annapolis Junction, MD for a prime contract. This individual will use applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar applications to develop, modify, or import graphics, illustrations, photos, models, or animations.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual illustrations
• Develop digital graphics and artwork for platforms such as online training, in-person training, web pages
• Develop graphic materials for print sources such as posters, brochures, banners, annual reports
• Use iconography, typography, photo imagery, color schemes, and illustrations to create templates, infographics, webpage layouts, animations, motion graphics, videos
• Conceptualize, direct, capture, and edit digital videos, animations, and motion graphics
• Collaborate with team to develop educational trainings and promotional materials for various platforms
• Understand and ensure all designs follow 508 compliance guidelines
• Be proactive and able to work in a moderate-to-fast paced environment with quick turnaround deadlines
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft PowerPoint
• Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Microsoft Word
• Bonus skills: Adobe Animate, 3D development

Requirements

• Candidates should have a portfolio to present at interview:
  • Samples should be current and dating back five years, at most
  • Examples should showcase a wide variety of graphics (i.e. templates, concepts, posters, videos)

Interview Demonstrations

• Show/tell me how you would create a mood board for a web-based training course on cybersecurity
• Show/tell me how you would transform a PowerPoint template provided to you that contains walls of text and minimal guidance on what to do for graphics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Art, Graphic Design, Fine Art, Design Art, Computer Science or Computer Graphic Design/Computer Graphics and four (4) years of experience in media production is required
• In lieu of the Bachelor's degree, an Associate's plus an additional two (2) years for a total of six (6) years of experience
• In lieu of Bachelor's or Associate's degree, an additional four (4) years of experience for a total of eight (8) years of experience is required
• Bonus Skills/Experience: Adobe Animate, 3D development
