Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional Piano Instructor to teach part-time at New World Music Academy's Alamo location. We are looking for teachers who will instruct in person. The ability to teach a secondary instrument is a plus and can grow to a full-time opportunity, depending on the instrument(s).

Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency; preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. Desired hours for this position are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 3PM-8:30PM.

Responsibilities

  • Teach piano to students at New World Music Academy in person, with potential to teach secondary instrument as growth opportunities arise.
  • Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality; communicate availability and scheduling with students and staff.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional learning environment for students of various ages and skill levels.
  • Pass a routine background check as part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

  • Strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
  • Demonstrated love of teaching and experience working with young musicians.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to pass a routine background check.

Compensation & Benefits

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $35-$40/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available after 90 days on the job. Health benefit packages are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.
