Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find movies, series, documentaries, and live sports, including MGM-produced content and programming from Prime Video add-ons. As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll own the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences. You’ll work on fast-paced, challenging projects, experiment with new possibilities, and collaborate with remarkable people. We are looking for self-motivated, passionate, and resourceful Machine Learning Engineers to contribute as hands-on practitioners and engineering leaders, building and guiding machine learning models from the ground up to benefit millions of Amazon customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI solutions for Prime Video Recommendation and Personalization systems using deep learning, GenAI, reinforcement learning, and optimization methods.
• Collaborate with applied scientists, engineers, and product managers to design, implement, and launch AI solutions end-to-end.
• Design and conduct offline and online (A/B) experiments to evaluate proposed solutions based on in-depth data analyses.
• Communicate technical and non-technical ideas effectively with teammates and stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements and latest modeling techniques in the field.

Team

Prime Video Recommendation Science and Engineering team owns ML solutions powering the recommendation and personalization experience across Prime Video surfaces and devices.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience in at least one programming language
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Experience with large-scale machine learning systems or applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with building large-scale recommendation systems
