Freelance Web Designer Job at Volume11 in Washington
Volume11, Washington, DC, United States, 20022
Overview
Volume11 is a web design and development agency based in Ridgefield, WA. We help businesses grow by building high-performing websites, custom WordPress plugins, and business systems that make digital operations smoother. We’re marketers at heart, but our passion lies in designing and developing sites that don’t just look good, they convert.
We’re a small, dedicated team that values creativity, precision, and thoughtful design. Now we’re looking for a freelance designer to help us take our web design to the next level.
The Role
This is a part-time freelance position with room to grow. We’re not looking for “average” designs, we want work that shows depth of thought, conversion-focused layouts, and animation that brings sites to life. You’ll collaborate closely with our team to design client websites that stand out and perform.
Responsibilities
- Own the design of client website projects from concept to launch.
- Create page layouts, wireframes, and templates that align with client goals.
- Design engaging graphics and incorporate subtle website animations.
- Ensure consistent branding across all digital touchpoints.
- Collaborate with our internal team (and occasionally clients) to refine design direction.
- Select and prepare imagery and assets for client projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in web design, graphic design, and website animation.
- Strong portfolio showcasing conversion-focused web designs (not just pretty, but purposeful).
- Comfort working in WordPress (Kadence theme experience is a bonus).
- Agency or freelance experience designing for multiple clients/projects.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
- Ability to deliver production-ready digital assets in multiple formats.
- Familiarity with design and photo editing software (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a remote setting and managing time effectively.
