About the team and role:

The Shipping team's mission is to make shipping seamless, intuitive, and convenient for all customers. As part of the Shipping team, you will play a key role in crafting delightful shipping and delivery experiences for our buyers and sellers.

As a Senior Staff Product Designer, you will help deliver strategy and innovation for the Shipping experience. This lead role establishes foundational design architecture, develops cross-team alignment and scalability, and elevates design-led influence and customer advocacy across the organization. You'll craft sophisticated and simple customer experiences that tackle complex customer problems at a global scale. You'll be part of a highly collaborative and encouraging user experience team who work across global buyer and seller experience focused products. An ability to thrive in a fast paced and highly cross-functional environment is essential for success in this role.

What you'll accomplish Lead design strategy, architecture, and vision for Shipping buyer and seller experiences, enabling global scalability and customer growth.

Drive end-to-end product design across customer experiences.

Collaborate with senior design, product, engineering, product marketing, content, and research leadership to align roadmaps, optimize workflows, and deliver scalable solutions that benefit sellers and buyers.

Develop sophisticated design prototypes and narratives that bring innovative concepts to life for testing and refinement in partnership with Research and Content teams.

Lead high-level presentations, storytelling, and crafting innovative narratives to effectively convey opportunities, solutions, and outcomes to senior leadership and collaborators.

Advocate for customers by synthesizing research findings, competitive insights, and internal priorities into actionable UX strategy and design execution.

Facilitate workshops, user testing, and field research to uncover customer needs, validate hypotheses, and inform design directions.

Serve as a primary design lead and mentor for cross-team collaboration, contributing to Figma file development, design documentation, and process improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring 10+ years of professional product design experience, e-commerce or marketplace experience is a plus.

Advanced mastery of Figma, prototyping tools, and interactive design methods, proven through a robust portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design, strategy, and delivery of complex solutions across web and native platforms.

Experience delivering compelling executive-level presentations, storytelling, and clear design narratives to influence senior leaders and drive alignment.

Demonstrated ability to design comprehensive, scalable design systems and drive cross-domain alignment.

Advanced proficiency in journey mapping, service design documentation, and workshop facilitation.

Proven success influencing product vision, and roadmap prioritization.

Track record of building strong partnerships with content and research peers, and collaborating effectively across cross-functional design, product, engineering, and stakeholder communities.

Inclusive, collaborative approach-building positive relationships and mentoring others to develop innovation within and across teams.

Commitment to ongoing learning, mentoring, and advancing design excellence.

Additional Information Locations: Hybrid Portland, OR USA or Toronto, Canada (Travel may be required for workshops, user research, or team activities.)

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below: $142,400 - $232,300 Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
