What we are looking for: UX/UI Intern

What you’ll be doing:

The UX/UI intern will be a junior-level member of the UX/UI team and be a part of the end-to-end design process for new and existing projects. As a small team, we’re looking for people who are ready and excited to take ownership of projects as well as willing to take on any essential task to ensure projects' success. We are looking for people who have infinite curiosity, lots of empathy, and a willingness to welcome new challenges. You’ll work with a team who is intelligent, driven and caring. We expect the same from you.

• Conceptualize and ideate for new projects and new business pitches with a problem-solving mindset

• Assist with the creation of various deliverables including customer journeys, personas, sitemaps, wireframes, and prototypes

• Help conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, and usability testing

• Be able to answer the “why?” of your design decisions and defend your thinking

• Give and take constructive feedback on designs

• Proactively recommend concepts and enhancements for projects success and overall improvements to process

• Successfully work independently and as part of a team

• Effectively communicate with other teams in the agency including software engineers and creatives as well as the strategy, business development, and media teams

What you’ll bring along:

• Must be already graduated or graduating this year.

• Ability to design user flows, wire frames and mock-ups

• Experience using UX wireframing and prototyping software (e.g., Sketch, InVision, Figma, etc.)

• Extremely detail oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills

• A current portfolio demonstrating your design approach and thought process from identifying a problem to solving it

• Strong time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at once and meet deadlines

• A natural propensity for always delivering your best work and never settling for mediocrity

• A curiosity and interest in staying up-to-date on current design trends

• A portfolio demonstrating your best UX/UI thinking

• 1 year experience in UX/UI is preferred

• Experience in layout and color theory is a plus

• Development skills in and/or an understanding of HTML5/CSS3 and some JavaScript (jQuery) is a plus
