Director, Digital Marketing

– The Director, Digital Marketing reports to the VP, Global Marketing and is a critical member of the U.S. organization supporting Dompé’s Oxervate program for neurotrophic keratitis (NK). This role develops and executes the digital / omni‑channel brand strategy for Oxervate in the US and collaborates with agency partners, media planners, and internal stakeholders to raise disease awareness and educate key audiences (patients and eye care providers).

Location: Remote considered; preferred Bay Area or Orange County, CA. The commercial organization is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with the R&D hub in Boston.

Core Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive omni‑channel digital marketing plan (SEO, SEM, social media, email, website, and content) aligned with brand goals for Oxervate in the US.

Guide the creation of engaging, informative digital content for eye care providers (ECPs) and patients.

Manage the digital marketing budget, allocating resources to maximize ROI and achieve strategic goals.

Collaborate with PRC (medical, legal, regulatory, and compliance) partners to create compliant materials that support the brand’s strategy.

Partner with insights and analytics to measure effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives; use metrics to refine strategy and meet KPIs.

Ensure cross‑channel consistency of strategy and messaging with Director, HCP Marketing and Associate Director, Patient & Access Marketing.

Participate in annual brand planning, workshops, ideation sessions, and assist with final plan development.

Evaluate new digital tactics, build business cases, and secure funding for execution; measure and report on ROI.

Support Patient Access with digital resources that assist ECP offices and patient pull‑through.

Leverage AI where appropriate to inform decisions, improve execution, and achieve efficiencies.

Collaborate across marketing, sales, market access, and PRC to meet customer needs and identify new opportunities to improve the patient experience.

Qualifications & Fit

Bachelor’s degree; MBA or master’s degree a plus.

Minimum 8 years in omni‑channel digital marketing roles with a track record of success (health care experience a plus but not required).

Experience managing external vendors including agencies of record (AORs).

Experience planning and executing multi‑faceted digital marketing campaigns.

Strong analytical skills; experience measuring the success of digital programs.

Proven self‑driven, results‑oriented work history and cross‑functional collaboration experience.

Ability to gain customer insights through market research to drive business activities.

Ability to act as a self‑starter with appropriate planning; understands pharmaceutical legal and regulatory requirements (a plus, not required).

Experience with cross‑functional review committees.

Technical:

Proficiency with digital marketing channels and tools (Google Analytics, social media platforms, email marketing software); project management; budget management; KPI analysis (open rates, CTR, conversions, ROI); awareness of AI tools and programmatic advertising; collaboration with agencies to run branded campaigns; data‑driven mindset.

Results‑oriented, self‑starter, fast learner, critical thinker, influential, able to manage multiple projects, and receptive to feedback; values diversity of perspectives.

Compensation Base Salary: $200,000 – $235,000 per year. Incentive bonus and benefits package included as standard. Final compensation determined by experience, location, and other factors allowed by law.
