About the Role

The Omaha Film Festival is seeking enthusiastic Event Set-Up Volunteers to help us prepare venues and event spaces during our five-day celebration of independent film. This behind-the-scenes role is perfect for someone who enjoys teamwork, organization, and making an immediate impact on the festival experience.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with setting up and breaking down event spaces, including theaters, panel rooms, and party venues
• Help place signage, decorations, and festival materials
• Support technical staff with basic equipment placement (no prior experience needed—training provided)
• Ensure spaces are welcoming, organized, and ready for filmmakers and guests

What We’re Looking For

• Dependable, punctual, and willing to jump in where needed
• Able to lift and carry light to moderate items (chairs, boxes, signage, décor, etc.)
• Positive attitude and team spirit—this is a fun, collaborative environment
