Overview

Senior Iconography Designer We are seeking a talented Senior Iconography Designer to join our Brand Design team, a core pillar within Product Foundation responsible for delivering creative direction across the product experience. This team creates, maintains, and evolves the visual systems that define brand presence in product, including icons, emoji, illustration, motion, and 3D. As a Senior Visual Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of the app through iconography and visual expression. You will collaborate closely with product designers and cross-functional teams to:

  • Create new icon systems
  • Maintain and update existing iconography
  • Ensure consistent brand perception and a seamless user experience

This senior role focuses on driving the visual craft of wayfinding symbols (icons) within the product experience and design system. Your work will improve user experience by enabling intuitive navigation and strengthening brand identity. We are looking for someone who demonstrates exceptional craftsmanship in designing distinctive, cohesive, and scalable iconography systems. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will partner with UX/UI designers, engineers, visual designers, and other multidisciplinary teams.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional experience in graphic/visual design, grid systems, and applications across web, desktop, and mobile (iOS + Android)
  • Proven experience designing and implementing icon systems at scale for large products or services
  • Strong collaboration skills working with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and quality
  • Exceptional craftsmanship with strong attention to detail and passion for visual design
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize effectively, and manage time well
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to articulate design direction to both artists and non-artists
  • Up-to-date knowledge of visual design technologies and industry trends
  • Proficiency with creative and production tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, G Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Experience working with external vendors, providing clear direction and feedback
  • Experience collaborating with UX Researchers and applying research findings to inform design decisions
  • Familiarity with 3D design and motion/animation is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $110.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
