Multimedia Journalist / Weekend Weather Anchor, KGTV. ABC 10News San Diego | KGTV Channel 10 is seeking an experienced MMJ / Weekend Weather Anchor. This is not an entry-level position. You will deliver compelling stories and accurate forecasts to the viewers in San Diego, a city known for year‑round pleasant weather and active communities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Anchor news and weather during newscasts.
• Research, gather, write, and develop news content for multiple platforms.
• May report live on location from various news events.
• Participate in community service activities for the station, including serving as master of ceremonies for public service events and as host/hostess for station events.
• Perform other duties as needed and assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
• Generally, 3+ years on-camera experience preferred

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Must connect on camera with a sense of urgency
• Knowledge of weather systems, including forecasting equipment
• Ability to cultivate sources and mine for stories
• Knowledge of newsroom computers and databases strongly preferred
• Strong news judgment and organizational skills
• Ability to work under intense pressure and deadlines with good logistics
• Strong editorial judgment, integrity, and understanding of journalistic ethics and libel law
• Clear and concise spoken communication
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with required limits

COMPENSATION

Annual Salary: $80,000.00 - 90,000.00

Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in California.
