Overview
TMX VettaFi is seeking a full-time staff writer to join its growing editorial department. The writer will primarily be responsible for writing up to three stories per day for client channels, focusing mainly on the U.S. ETF market, and also writing about other topics developed with input from the team. Articles will primarily target the advisor community. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter who collaborates well in remote work environments and has a working understanding of (and interest in) the U.S. ETF market. Comfort with using artificial intelligence tools is preferred. This role is hybrid (2-3 days in the office per week) and based in New York City, NY.

Job Responsibilities
- Write and research up to three articles per day on client-approved topics as well as topics identified collaboratively with the team.
- Participate in client calls to learn about products and develop story ideas; be prepared to discuss independently developed topic proposals on calls.
- Assist with occasional special projects, such as developing conference content.
Job Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience covering news within the U.S. financial industry, preferably in the ETF or financial advisory space (candidates without financial industry experience will not be considered)
- Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress)
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices
- High attention to detail and strong writing skills
- Strong communication abilities for crafting compelling written content
- Comfort with remote communication platforms (Teams, Slack, Zoom) and with working with clients to maintain cordial relationships
