Graphic Designer
Position Overview Our Client is looking for a standout Graphic Designer to add to our dynamic and high functioning in-house creative team. As a Graphic Designer on our team, you will be asked to serve the family owners and sales force within the organization to build and promote brands in the wine and spirits markets. You will be an indispensable partner by having the ability to function and manage your own projects while lending a hand in support for others when needed. You’ll have the benefit of experiencing a design’s entire journey, from production to warehouses. **This role is on-site five days a week.**
Primary Responsibilities Play an active role in strategically exploring, ideating and crafting design solutions from concept to production Lead and take accountability and ownership of assigned projects Insure project completion is “on-time” and delivered in an aesthetically compelling manner Steward brands – embrace the strategies in place and become an evangelist Manage client expectations and oversee photoshoots, illustration development, and vendor/ printer communications Help with project organization and planning Handle multiple projects/tasks at one time Critique work of others and explain design direction/ rationale Mentor junior team members Qualifications & Experience A minimum of 5 years of work experience as a designer; brand packaging and/or identity design experience with a major wine/ spirit brand in the premium space a plus BFA, or equivalent experience in Design, Packaging, Advertising or promotional collateral Proficient skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign specifically) and good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Strategic thinker and problem solver Deliver and identify good creative design – proven passion Demonstrate basic ability to draw or layout design thinking using traditional design tools Highly organized with ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities Exhibit an incredible attention to detail Communicate effectively and act professionally in all correspondence – conversations, presentations, emails, etc. Display a positive team building work attitude under pressure – has a can-do attitude Excel in both an independent and team environment
