The Make It Better Foundation (MIBF) is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit dedicated to identifying, supporting, and amplifying the most impactful nonprofits. Through grants, awards, partnerships, and storytelling, we help organizations expand their reach and contribute to making the world a better place. The Make It Better Foundation is seeking a creative and strategic Digital Marketing Manager to join our team and elevate our social media channels and email marketing programs, as well as own publishing to the Foundation’s web properties. Position Overview
We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to own and grow the Foundation's social media and email marketing programs, own the CEO’s social media presence, and publish content to the Foundation’s web properties. This role combines strategy, content creation, community engagement, and analytics to build awareness of our mission, amplify nonprofit partners, and engage a growing audience of donors, volunteers, and changemakers. Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management: Develop and execute a social media strategy aligned with the Foundation’s mission to deliver campaigns and grow the MIBF’s audience. Create engaging, high-quality content (posts, stories, reels, short-form video) tailored for each platform (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube, and emerging platforms) for the Make It Better Foundation and the Foundation's CEO. Manage content calendars and ensure timely execution of campaigns, including the Philanthropy Awards and nonprofit partner spotlights. Foster community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and engaging with nonprofit partners and supporters. Collaborate with the content team to identify and amplify hero content, tentpole events, and partner content. Set, track, and analyze performance metrics (engagement, follower growth, click-through rates) and continuously refine strategy. Stay on top of nonprofit, philanthropy, and social media trends to keep content fresh and impactful. Email Marketing: Own the email marketing calendar, including national and local-market newsletters. Build, test, and optimize email campaigns and templates to increase engagement and open/click rates. Manage audience segmentation and personalization to deliver relevant, targeted content. Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR). Web Publishing: Own staging, publishing, and optimizing content to MakeItBetter.net and Better.net. Analytics & Optimization: Track KPIs across social and email channels, providing regular reporting and insights. Use data to test, learn, and continuously improve performance. Partner with others to align the social media and email calendars with MIBF priorities. Qualifications
5+ years of experience in digital marketing with a focus on social media and email. Strong copywriting and content creation skills. Proficiency with tools like Magazine Manager, Campaign Monitor, Active Campaign, Hootsuite, and Buffer. Strong analytical skills and experience reporting on digital campaign performance. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. A passion for philanthropy, content development, storytelling, and building/engaging communities. A passion for the mission of the Make It Better Foundation. Bonus: Experience with paid social campaigns or basic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite). Pay transparency The expected salary range, depending on experience, is $87,000 - $120,000 plus benefits.
