The VP, Paid & Performance Marketing is responsible for leading all aspects of paid media, acquisition marketing, and third-party digital partnerships. This senior leadership role owns the strategy, execution, and optimization of high-impact paid channels (Google, Meta, Bing, TikTok, etc.) to drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and efficiency. Partnering with the Vice President of Marketing Strategy & Digital Product, this role ensures alignment between acquisition efforts and lifecycle retention, connecting paid channels to the site, app, and broader digital experience to deliver a cohesive end-to-end customer journey. Responsibilities
Be the subject matter expert in Google, Meta, Bing, and emerging ad platforms, owning both strategy and hands-on budget management to maximize efficiency and growth. Develop and execute channel strategies that balance CPA, ROAS, LTV, and overall business goals. Manage and optimize multi-million-dollar media budgets across paid search, paid social, programmatic, display, affiliate, and marketplace channels with precision and rigor. Own relationships with third-party retail media and marketplace platforms (e.g., Target Roundel, Costco Media Network, Instacart, DoorDash, Amazon, Walmart Connect, affiliate networks), ensuring strategic alignment and growth. Design and oversee structured testing (A/B, geo-lift, audience segmentation) to continuously improve targeting, bidding, and creative performance. Partner with Finance and Data Science to forecast spend scenarios, connect acquisition efforts to LTV and contribution margin, and guide broader business strategy. Build and manage a high-performing team of paid media specialists, ensuring deep expertise, flawless execution, and continuous learning. Collaborate with Brand, Creative, and Product to ensure campaigns reflect Pressed’s identity and deliver a seamless omnichannel customer experience. Deliver regular reporting, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, tying spend decisions directly to growth outcomes. Qualifications
12+ years of experience in performance marketing, acquisition, or growth roles, ideally within CPG, food & beverage, or retail. Deep, hands-on expertise in paid search and paid social: mastery of Google Ads (Search, Shopping, YouTube), Meta Ads Manager, and Bing Ads with a proven ability to drive measurable results. Track record of owning large-scale budgets and delivering strong ROI through precise targeting, bidding, creative optimization, and cross-channel strategy. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Excel, and ad platforms; experience with incrementality testing and advanced attribution required. Experience managing third-party retail media partnerships and marketplace platforms (e.g., Instacart, Target Roundel, Costco, Amazon, Walmart Connect). Ability to synthesize data into clear strategies, influence senior stakeholders, and align investments to both near-term revenue and long-term growth goals. Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire high-performing teams and drive innovation. Excellent communication and executive presentation skills. Strong experience managing large budgets, agencies, and cross-functional campaigns that deliver measurable ROI. Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills; proven ability to motivate teams and influence senior executives. Passion for wellness, mission-driven brands, and delivering seamless omnichannel experiences. Must be able to work onsite in Culver City, CA 3–4 days per week.
