FanDuel Group is a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment. THE POSITION: We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer, TV Technologies to join our media & infrastructure-focused team. You will build, maintain, and improve internal tools, automation, and infrastructure, contribute to architecture, participate in design discussions, perform deployments and upkeep, and share knowledge through documentation and code reviews. This is an autonomous, high-impact role in a live broadcast environment requiring flexibility, collaboration, and a willingness to handle non-standard challenges as they arise. Drive broadcast features through the full software development lifecycle with input from stakeholders. Maintain systems in your domain — such as internal tooling, automation, and infrastructure — while collaborating with peers for change ownership. Design and implement scalable backend systems and APIs using C#, Node.js, Python, and Terraform. Support the adoption and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, replacing manual AWS workflows. Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Buildkite, GitHub Actions, and internal tooling. Mentor lower-level engineers and cross-functional teammates in Git, Terraform, CI/CD, and DevOps practices. Be a knowledgeable resource on DevOps and infrastructure within the team. Collaborate with broadcast engineers, product stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define problems and deliver solutions. Participate in sprint planning, ticketing, and delivery with engineering lead support. Join an on-call rotation to support uptime and incident response. Write and maintain documentation, runbooks, and diagrams. Contribute to monitoring, alerting, and operational tooling. Suggest engineering improvements and share feedback across teams. The Stats
Experienced in software engineering with a focus on backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering. Proficient in modern programming languages and frameworks across the stack, with the ability to adapt to new technologies quickly. Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with DevOps platforms (e.g., DataMiner), observability tools (e.g., Datadog), and automation frameworks. Own the outcome ensuring software across dev, staging, and production meets FanDuel and Flutter security standards and remains compliant. Proactively identify security risks, follow secure coding practices, and collaborate to uphold a strong security posture. Demonstrated ability to mentor and enable others in DevOps and infrastructure practices. Experience supporting production systems in a high-availability, on-call environment. Strong understanding of cloud architecture and maintainability. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Comfortable in a hybrid model (3-4 days per week in studio).
