Marketing Intern

Come join Highgate for the summer in one of our dynamic internships! As a marketing intern at Highgate's Corporate Office, you will gain hands-on experience in hospitality marketing and brand strategy within one of the industry's leading hotel management companies. This internship offers exposure to a wide portfolio of hotel brands in gateway cities and the opportunity to contribute to impactful campaigns, employer branding initiatives, and digital projects that shape Highgate's corporate and property presence.

Responsibilities:

  • A good overall understanding of the corporate marketing function.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of corporate marketing campaigns, including social media, digital content, and email marketing.
  • Support employer branding projects such as LinkedIn Life page updates, Glassdoor/Indeed campaigns, and career fair collateral.
  • Conduct market research on hospitality and competitor trends to support strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and HR teams to create recruitment and internship program branding materials (videos, flyers, presentations).
  • Partner with properties on digital asset collection (photos, testimonials, logos) for use in corporate communications.
  • Help coordinate event marketing support for leadership conferences, intern programs, and community engagement activities.
  • Draft copy for internal and external channels (social posts, newsletters, career pages).
  • Assist with reporting and analytics, tracking engagement and performance of digital campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, or related field.
  • Strong interest in brand development, digital marketing, and the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or video editing tools a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Previous internship or campus involvement in marketing, social media, or event promotion is preferred.
