HOW YOU'LL FIT:
We are seeking a talented and ambitious Creative Design Manager to help shape and elevate the visual direction of Carvertise’s brand. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, this role bridges hands-on execution with strategic thinking. The ideal candidate will be comfortable embracing new technologies, particularly AI. A strong design background coupled with proven experience leveraging AI in the creative process to increase creativity, efficiency, and impact will be essential.
While this role may or may not include direct reports initially, the successful candidate will demonstrate leadership potential and the ability to grow into a people management position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creative Execution & Oversight: Lead the creation of high-quality visual assets—including digital campaigns, print materials, vehicle wraps, presentations, and branded collateral—using both traditional design tools and AI-assisted applications.
- AI-Driven Innovation: Act as a champion for AI adoption within the design team, consistently testing, applying, and sharing new AI tools that can enhance creativity, streamline production, and unlock new design possibilities.
- Brand Stewardship: Ensure all creative work aligns with Carvertise’s brand standards, while helping evolve the brand to remain innovative and forward-looking.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Creative teams to deliver cohesive designs that support campaigns, sales initiatives, and client needs.
- Concept Development: Translate business and marketing objectives into compelling design concepts that resonate with audiences and enhance Carvertise’s brand experience.
- Leadership Potential: Mentor junior designers when appropriate, contribute to team culture, and demonstrate readiness to grow into a senior creative leadership role.
- Process & Efficiency: Build scalable design processes and workflows that leverage AI and automation, ensuring high quality and fast turnarounds.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATION:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Art, Marketing or related degree preferred
- Experience: 4–6 years of design experience, with at least 1–2 years in a senior or lead role (Art Director, Senior Graphic Designer, or similar).
- Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing a mix of hands-on work, innovative campaigns, and evidence of AI-driven creativity.
- AI Fluency: Hands-on experience with AI design tools (e.g., MidJourney, Adobe Firefly, Runway, ChatGPT for creative ideation, or similar). Passion for testing new tools and driving adoption within a team.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with motion graphics, web design, and automation tools a plus.
- Creative Thinking: Ability to balance creative vision with execution, transforming abstract ideas into visually compelling outputs.
- Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated ability to take initiative, collaborate cross-functionally, and show potential to lead and inspire a creative team in the future.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and provide/receive feedback effectively.
