Overview

As a Senior Photo Editor, you will be responsible for editing, retouching, and preparing images for a wide range of projects, including e-commerce, marketing, advertising, and social media. You will ensure images meet brand standards, maintain quality and consistency, and are delivered on time. This role involves close collaboration with creative teams and other stakeholders in the post-production process.

Base pay range

$85,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and retouch high-volume product, lifestyle, and marketing images.
• Perform tasks such as masking, background removal, compositing, cleanup, cloning, cropping, and quality control.
• Follow brand guidelines and apply consistent retouching direction across all imagery.
• Color correct and ensure consistency across image sets.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Organize and maintain image archives and file naming systems.
• Track project progress using Excel, Google Docs, or project management tools.
• Apply problem-solving and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Photography, Graphic Design, Digital Imaging, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of experience in a high-volume photo editing or e-commerce environment.
• Strong retouching skills with experience in product, fashion, and lifestyle photography.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Bridge; familiarity with Capture One a plus.
• Proficiency in color correction and advanced retouching techniques (including frequency separation).
• Experience preparing files for web, social, and print formats.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.
