Overview

We are looking for a Child & Adolescent Adjunctive Therapist (Recreation Therapist, Art Therapist OR Music Therapist) for our Outpatient Department. If you are a Certified or Registered Recreation Therapist, Art Therapist OR Music Therapist (CTRS, RTC, ATR, or CBMT), we invite you to apply.

Full time | Sunday - Thursday schedule

Base pay range: $27.00/hr - $37.00/hr

What You\'ll Do

Our activity therapists make a difference in the lives of our patients. You will provide therapeutic recreational, art or music therapy services to our adult, adolescent, or child patients; develop and implement adjunctive therapy treatment plans in concert with the interdisciplinary treatment team; demonstrate sound application of recreation, music, or art theory and methodology.

Requirements

• License/Certification: CTRS, RTC, ATR, or CBMT (Required)
• Current BLS for healthcare provider card upon hire (Required)

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Certification or registration required (e.g. recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, CTRS, RTC, ATR, or CBMT)
• 2 years or more experience in a healthcare field; inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
• Excellent communication, assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills
• Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment
• Flexibility; teaching or training skills helpful
• Understanding of DSM-III R methodology
• Therapeutic Options training to be obtained prior to providing direct patient care without a preceptor
