Overview
Director, Audience Strategy & Enablement - Xumo. This role serves as the business lead for the Xumo Identity Platform, driving adoption and integration across the organization to deliver deeper audience insights and enable more effective targeting. The position sits at the intersection of data, ad sales, marketing, product, and revenue strategy. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of audience segmentation, targeting, and a track record of translating data into actionable strategies that improve engagement and revenue outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as the business lead and organizational owner of the Xumo Identity Platform
- Collaborate with ad sales, editorial, marketing, content, product, and technology teams to integrate audience segmentation models into the broader analytics functions
- Draft and manage requirements and other supporting business documentation
- Define and execute the roadmap for leveraging the platform across teams and business units
- Develop and refine audience segmentation strategies to support personalization, targeting, and campaign effectiveness
- Identify and activate high-impact use cases with analytics, marketing, product, and revenue stakeholders
- Establish processes and best practices for segment governance, audience taxonomy, and performance tracking
- Advocate for data-driven decision making by demonstrating the platform’s capabilities and insights
- Track performance and ROI of targeted campaigns
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in data-backed audience development and segmentation
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Demonstrated independent judgment in matters of significance
- Regular attendance; ability to work nights and weekends or overtime as necessary
Minimum Requirements
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing custom audience segmentation using demographic, behavioral, and product usage data
- Understanding of data governance and global data privacy regulations, ensuring compliance across audience data strategies
- Experience in digital advertising
- Experience working with DMPs and ad measurement companies
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization
- Ability to work effectively at various organizational levels
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to new priorities and manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Track record of driving large-scale transformation within a complex organization
Work Environment & Additional Information
Position is based in Philadelphia, PA or Irvine, CA with a 4 days in-office / 1 day remote schedule.
