Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable AV Technician to join our team, supporting the installation and integration of audio-visual systems in commercial environments throughout the Washington, DC metro area. This role involves hands-on fieldwork, technical troubleshooting, and client-facing professionalism across a variety of sites including offices, conference centers, educational institutions, and federal facilities.

Base pay range

$54,000.00/yr - $67,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test AV systems including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, control panels, and video conferencing equipment
• Read and interpret AV system schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
• Mount and wire AV components with precision and adherence to safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and IT teams to ensure seamless system integration
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues on-site, providing technical support and guidance to clients
• Document installation progress, system configurations, and service reports
• Maintain tools, inventory, and equipment in good working order while adhering to company protocols
• Represent the company professionally while interacting with clients, vendors, and site personnel

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in AV installation or related technical field
• Familiarity with commercial AV systems including Crestron, Extron, AMX, Cisco, and Zoom Rooms
• Ability to travel daily across the DC metro area
• Strong understanding of cabling standards, signal flow, and AV best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in varied site conditions
• Strong communication and customer service skills
