Audio Visual and Live Events Video Engineer & Support Technician - Mountain View, CA. Join Eurest USA for a role focusing on end-to-end AV support for high-impact executive events at Microsoft’s Mountain View campus. The onsite role involves hands-on operation and maintenance of cutting-edge AV systems for leadership town halls, product launches, and hybrid meetings. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in UHD video workflows, networked AV, camera robotics, and lighting integration, with a proven track record in live show execution.

Responsibilities

Live Event Execution
  • Operate advanced AV systems including dvLED walls (Novastar), 3M/E UHD switchers, and media servers.
  • Manage UHD 12G-SDI/HDMI signal paths, HDCP-compliant LED feeds, and multiviewer monitoring.
  • Configure and operate PTZ cameras, robotic dolly/track systems, and pedestals with UHD licenses and collision avoidance.
  • Run hybrid/streaming workflows using SRT appliances, hard disk recorders, and Microsoft Teams Rooms with NDI/HDMI-USB bridge.
System Integration & Control
  • Administer Crestron control systems and architectural lighting presets, coordinate production lighting cues.
  • Maintain ClearCom intercom systems and Yamaha audio consoles (CL/DM7) with Dante I/O.
  • Ensure up-to-date firmware, documentation, and technical standards across all systems.
Multi-AV and Engineering Projects
  • Collaborate with AV, broadcast, IT, facilities, and security teams to support executive and enterprise-level event workflows.
  • Collaborate with network engineers to deploy AV-over-IP systems, including VLANs, multicast routing, QoS, and PTP clocking.
  • Participate in multi-phase AV infrastructure upgrades, from planning and design to installation and commissioning.
  • Coordinate on integration across platforms such as Crestron, Dante, NDI, Novastar, SRT, and SDVoE to ensure full system interoperability.
  • Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to align technical specifications for dvLED walls, robotic cameras, and control rooms.
  • Lead testing and validation of UHD video and audio pipelines in live and simulated environments.
  • Contribute to signal flow diagrams, documentation, and SOPs for scalable deployments.
  • Support hybrid AV environments, including integration with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Microsoft 365.
  • Participate in agile project cycles, offering technical input on platform updates and new feature development.
Networking for AV
  • Design and manage AV-specific VLANs, QoS, multicast/IGMP, and PTP clocking.
  • Support copper/fiber plant and SFP selection; implement secure AV-over-IP and wireless control environments.
Pre-Production & Planning
  • Collaborate with event producers to scope AV needs, timelines, and technical requirements.
  • Conduct site surveys and risk assessments to align AV systems with production goals.
Post-Event Support
  • Teardown and inventory AV equipment; document system performance and incidents.
  • Support preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and lifecycle management.

Environment & Equipment

  • Video: dvLED wall (1.25mm COB, 1000 nit, 7200×4050), UHD switcher/router, 12G-SDI matrix.
  • Media: Media servers (6× ingest / 3× playout, 128TB storage), PTZ robotics via fiber, IP KVM.
  • Audio: Yamaha CL/DM7 consoles, Dante/AES67 networks, ClearCom intercom.
  • Control: Crestron touch panels, architectural and show lighting presets (sACN/ArtNet/DMX).
  • Streaming: SRT, NDI, Teams integrations, disk-based recorders.

Qualifications

Required:
  • 5+ years experience in live event or broadcast AV support.
  • Expertise in multi-M/E UHD switchers/routers and signal flow (12G-SDI, HDMI, HDCP).
  • Proficiency with Yamaha CL/DM series consoles and Dante networking.
  • Strong understanding of AV over IP, VLANs, QoS, PTP clocking, and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Dante Controller, NDI Tools).
  • Hands-on experience with dvLED (Novastar), robotic camera systems, and hybrid/streaming workflows (SRT, Teams, NDI).
  • Familiarity with lighting workflows (architectural presets, DMX, timecode cueing).
Preferred:
  • AV certifications (e.g., CTS, Dante Level 2/3, Crestron, Novastar).
  • Experience supporting executive-level or corporate events.
  • Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Work Conditions

  • Onsite, fast-paced live event environment.
  • Requires standing for long periods, lifting 25+ lbs, and working in low-light or noisy environments.
  • Varied hours including nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $115,000-$120,000 per year
  • Pay Grade: 14
