Job Description
The Director of Creative Operations will be responsible for building and scaling the operations, processes, and technologies that enable derivative content creation for the U.S. market at Gilead. This leader will establish best practices to adapt, repurpose, and extend approved U.S. creative assets across channels — driving speed, efficiency, and compliance while unlocking greater creative impact. This role will champion modular content strategies, operationalize derivative asset production, and introduce future-ready ways of working with AI to accelerate creative development, review, and distribution. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in creative operations, content governance, and agency management, with a proven ability to set up scalable systems that maximize reuse and prepare the organization for next-generation creative workflows. This position is based in Foster City, CA, with 3 days in office (Tues, Wed, Thurs).
Responsibilities
- Establish scalable operations for derivative content creation, enabling efficient adaptation of core U.S. assets across channels and audiences.
- Champion and expand the use of modular content, embedding reuse-first practices into creative workflows for the U.S. market.
- Partner with brand, creative, agency, and regulatory teams to set operational standards for derivative and modular content delivery in the U.S. market.
- Introduce AI-enabled workflows (e.g., smart tagging, automated versioning, adaptive templates) to accelerate U.S. creative production and review.
- Oversee and optimize creative technology platforms, including Veeva Vault PromoMats, DAM systems, and workflow automation tools.
- Define content hierarchies, metadata, and tagging structures to maximize searchability, reuse, and automation of U.S.-focused assets.
- Drive agency management, ensuring external partners align with Gilead’s standards for derivative and modular content in the U.S. market.
- Develop playbooks, training programs, and toolkits to embed derivative content practices across marketing and creative teams.
- Implement KPIs and dashboards to measure content reuse, efficiency gains, and speed-to-market improvements in the U.S. context.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a creative operations team focused on scalability, innovation, and compliance.
- Act as a change leader, embedding modular, derivative, and AI-driven approaches into Gilead’s future ways of working.
