Overview

StudioBinder is looking for a full-time Graphic Designer for Web Content. StudioBinder is a software company located in Santa Monica, and is a project management solution for producers, filmmakers and video creatives to better plan and execute their productions.

Responsibilities

• designing assets for blog posts, featured images for posts, data visualizations, etc
• working with copywriters to design compelling Instagram Stories
• working with a motion graphics animator to design unique video designs
• designing marketing pages

Qualifications

• has at least 3-5+ years experience as a graphic designer
• proficient in Illustrator (Sketch is preferable though!)
• meticulous about margins, padding, layouts and typography
• lives in Santa Monica (or very nearby) so you won\'t rue your job sitting in LA traffic
• interested in filmmaking and entertainment
• extremely organized when it comes to layer lists and naming conventions
• geeks out on design trends
• might describe themself as creative, experimental, detail-oriented, collaborative, open to feedback, etc.

The typical workday

In a typical morning, you might: get to the office, join a morning stand-up to update everyone on progress, and sync up with the content editor to understand the conversion goals of the next post. You review an unpublished WordPress draft with images, identify where visuals should be added, and source color and aesthetic inspiration from images on Pinterest. You create moodboards in Sketch and develop assets for the post, including a featured image, social images, charts, diagrams, and Instagram Stories assets. You export the images, compress them, and drop them into Dropbox to complete the post on time.
