Overview

As a Freelance Graphic Designer focused on experiential work, you will play a key role in concepting, designing, and executing visual assets for live events and branded environments. You’ll collaborate with our creative and production teams to develop cohesive visual systems that elevate the attendee experience and communicate the client’s brand story in dynamic, memorable ways.

Base pay range

$50.00/hr - $70.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Design for live events and physical spaces, including environmental graphics, signage, wayfinding, stage and scenic visuals, booth and activation layouts, and interactive brand touchpoints.
• Develop visual identities and brand systems tailored to specific experiences or campaigns.
• Translate complex concepts into clear, visually compelling storytelling.
• Work closely with project managers and producers to ensure designs meet both creative vision and production specs.
• Provide design mock-ups, presentations, and production-ready files on deadline.
• Stay informed on design trends in experiential marketing, materials, and fabrication techniques.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing experiential or environmental projects.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); Figma or SketchUp a plus.
• Strong understanding of spatial design, scale, and materials.
• Knowledge of print production, fabrication, and signage specifications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Motion graphics or projection mapping design experience.
• 3D design software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender, SketchUp).
• Experience with AR/VR or other interactive technologies.
• Background in event production or experiential marketing agencies.
