EWTN Producer for News Nightly Job at EWTN News in Washington

Overview

As the Producer, you will work with the News Nightly editorial team to produce content and fulfill other responsibilities with a strict deadline to produce a quality daily newscast.

What you will do

• Produce discussion segments on national/international pro-life news from a Catholic perspective, including writing news stories.
• Communicate with the Executive Producer, Host, and other editorial staff about guests, including conducting extensive research on potential discussion questions.
• Pitch original content stories that would make good discussion or news segments based on current affairs.
• Choose videos, sound bites, and still photos to be included in the broadcast.
• Collaborate with pre- and post-production team members to produce editorially sound and visually appealing broadcasts that meet EWTN and Industry standards.
• Serve as backup support to provide coverage for other shows as needed.
