Overview
The Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Management team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced UI Engineering Manager to join us in Raleigh NC. This role contributes to Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console, the customer-facing platform for most of Red Hat’s managed cloud services. You will lead a team of UI engineers responsible for ensuring a consistent user experience on console.redhat.com and develop a shared design foundation, a library of reusable UI components, and tools that enable teams to build interfaces using modern web standards. You will also guide delivery, prioritization, capacity planning, technical discussions, and associate career development, collaborating with product managers, multiple engineering teams, and other supporting roles globally.

What You Will Do
- Lead an inclusive and high-performance team of engineers to deliver the UI platform for console.redhat.com
- Work with Product Management and User Experience Design stakeholders to set the direction for engineering development in an agile environment
- Be responsible for technical deliverables, capacity planning, growth; own solutions delivered by the team and be responsible for feature completion, quality, and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on software engineering, product management, support, and quality engineering to coordinate tasks for delivering and maintaining enterprise-quality SaaS applications
- Design and deliver flexible and scalable solutions aligned with Red Hat strategy, including close collaboration with the PatternFly team
- Provide mentorship and coaching to your team to help them learn, grow and succeed
- Build solid relationships with the business, product management, and other engineering leaders to enable excellent teamwork and platform development
- Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies relevant to software development, identifying opportunities to incorporate AI capabilities into workflows and tooling
What You Will Bring
- 3+ years of experience managing a globally distributed software engineering team
- 6+ years of experience in software development and engineering
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a technology-related discipline
- Experience enabling UI development and UX design collaboration to reach the best end-user experiences; technical experience in UI development is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to present to stakeholders and conduct priority tradeoffs and scope negotiations
- Great interpersonal skills with emphasis on building effective working relationships and creating a psychologically safe work environment
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills with leadership ability to gain buy-in for changes
- Experience with agile environments and rapid iteration and fast delivery
The salary range for this position is $148,540.00 - $245,050.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including location, experience, skills, training, market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For Remote-US locations, the actual salary range may differ by location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant experience.
