Responsibilities
- During the project phase, support commissioning/qualification activities required to bring inspection lines into service using semi-automated and automated technology, and support site operational readiness activities.
- Become a subject matter expert for the inspection equipment/process with potential for development into a Line Lead or other leadership role.
- May require domestic travel with the opportunity for international travel based on program need.
- After project phase completion, operate highly automated equipment used to inspect syringes and perform manual inspection of units.
- Model current Good Manufacturing Practices and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Support the Line Lead in the development of operators and identification of opportunities for operational improvement.
Basic Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (education may be substituted for experience with manager discretion)
- 2+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or equivalent regulated industry

- Demonstrated ability to train and coach others
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills
- Scientific/technical degrees or certifications
- Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs)
- Experience with semi-automated and automated visual inspection equipment
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch records
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Additional Information
- Location: Lilly Research Triangle Park site
- Short-duration assignments (1–2 months) may be required to establish device knowledge and provide production support
- Ability to wear safety equipment (safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, etc.)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule and work overtime as required
- Ability to pass an annual job fitness exam
