At HME you will have the opportunity to learn and grow while developing our future products. We are currently recruiting for a Staff UX Designer, 6 month contract. What you will do in the position Conducts interviews and working sessions with QSR staff and stakeholders. Observes and documents current workflows and pain points. Creates interactive prototypes for feedback and validation. Facilitates workshops to prioritize features and improvements. Defines user stories and use cases aligned with contractual milestones. Collaborates with engineering to understand system architecture and constraints. Maps existing components and assesses integration feasibility. Documents interoperability requirements and identifies gaps. Defines navigation flows and screen/hardware relationships. Develops personas and user scenarios across diverse roles (e.g., order takers, kitchen staff, managers). Designs wireframes and workflow diagrams focused on clarity and efficiency. Applies best practices in accessibility, ergonomics, and human-computer interaction. Identifies UX risks and edge cases with mitigation strategies. Defines integration points for assembling the system from existing components. Refines prototypes iteratively based on usability testing and user feedback. Delivers comprehensive design documentation and user guides. Creates training materials and conducts knowledge transfer sessions. Recommends design-specific initiatives and epics to the product team. What you will need to succeed 8+ years of UX design experience, preferably in enterprise or operational systems Strong portfolio demonstrating user research, wireframes, and prototypes Experience with human-centered design and workflow optimization Familiarity with QSR environments is a plus Proficiency in product and design tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Sketch, Aha!, Jira, etc.) Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Fluent in English is required The posted pay range, $59.57 - $79.42 per hour, is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. This may vary depending on experience and other factors.
