About the Role
As a Senior Vice President of Workforce and Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives across Human Resources, Talent Development, Recruitment, and Marketing to support Meridian's mission and organizational goals. Reporting directly to the President/CEO, the SVP works both independently and collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical leaders to develop and implement workforce strategies aligned with Meridian's strategic direction.
What you will do:
- Oversee HR strategy, policy development, compliance, and employee relations.
- Promote a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Lead workforce planning, engagement, and retention activities aligned with organizational goals.
- Serve as the Corporate Compliance Officer for the organization.
- Training and Development
- Design and implement comprehensive training programs for staff at all levels.
- Champion leadership development, onboarding, and continuing education.
- Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
- Lead strategic recruitment efforts to attract diverse, qualified candidates.
- Collaborate with department leaders to forecast staffing needs and build pipelines.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience and strong employer brand presence.
- Marketing and Communications
- Direct internal and external communications, including branding, media relations, and digital strategy using the internal resources of the Marketing and Advancement Vice President and team.
- Work with the Executive Team, Talent Acquisition, and Marketing teams to develop strategies to promote Meridian's services and foster employee engagement.
- Serve as a spokesperson and advocate for Meridian's mission and values.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's or Advanced degree preferred.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification preferred but not required.
- Five years progressively higher-level management experience.
- Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or nonprofit sectors preferred.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of and experience with varied human resources information systems.
