We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our team and contribute to the conceptual design, development, and execution of innovative interior environments. This role requires a balance of creativity, technical expertise, and strong organizational skills to deliver projects that are both aesthetically compelling and aligned with client goals, budgets, and functional needs.
Responsibilities
- Interpret, organize, and execute the conceptual design of projects, ensuring creativity, foresight, and sound judgment throughout.
- Lead programming efforts including space planning, layouts, and utilization of furnishings, equipment, lighting, and color coordination.
- Develop innovative design concepts that are practical, safe, and aligned with client vision and budget.
- Coordinate and present color and material palettes.
- Select and specify furniture, lighting, flooring, wall coverings, and artwork; prepare material estimates and preliminary cost projections.
- Incorporate integrated sustainable design solutions into all projects.
- Render conceptual design ideas and prepare 2D/3D presentation drawings.
- Prepare and conduct client presentations with clarity and professionalism.
- Prepare, correct, and update documents during schematic design and design development phases.
- Solicit bids and assist Project Managers and clients in subcontracting fabrication, installation, and arrangement of materials, finishes, and furnishings.
- Ensure project or project phase remains on schedule and within scope.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure design requirements are fully incorporated.
- Support construction administration by responding to RFIs and COs, and reviewing shop drawings.
- Implement and adhere to firm standards across all projects and processes.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff; participate in performance evaluations and recruiting when appropriate.
- Foster a collaborative, client-focused, and sustainable work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field (or foreign equivalent).
- 4–7+ years of professional experience working on commercial interiors projects.
- Strong design sensibility, with the ability to translate concepts into functional and compelling spaces.
- Proficiency in design software and presentation tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative team setting.
