Overview
We are seeking an experienced communications professional to join TikTok's AI + Innovation Communications team, part of the Trust and Safety and Technology communications organization. In this role, you'll develop messaging and campaigns that build trust in how we use artificial intelligence responsibly, partner cross-functionally to advise and help mitigate AI-related reputational risks, and manage media engagement. You should have a strong understanding of the AI landscape, translate complex technical topics into clear narratives for both expert and non-expert audiences, and work independently and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders—including during high-stakes situations. Responsibilities
Develop messaging and campaigns to build trust in responsible use of AI. Advise cross-functionally to mitigate AI-related reputational risk. Manage media engagement and external communications related to AI and technology topics. Translate complex technical topics into clear narratives for diverse audiences. Collaborate with product, legal, public policy, and other teams to support campaigns and risk management. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in communications, with 2+ years focusing on AI or technology communications Strong familiarity with AI topics including model/feature development, privacy, and safety Proven ability to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives Experience working with product, legal, and public policy teams to create impactful campaigns and minimize risk Media relations experience in risk, safety, or technology sectors Strong analytical judgment to assess reputational risk and advise accordingly Preferred Qualifications Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset About TikTok

Base pay range: $117,334.00/yr - $211,112.00/yr. Compensation may vary outside this range based on qualifications, skills, and location. This role may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units. Benefits vary by location and may include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, parental leave, disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, and paid time off.
