About Eight Form

Eight Form is a real estate development and asset management firm overseeing a diverse portfolio of businesses and ventures — from large-scale projects such as a 50 MW data center to supporting our sister companies, Welcome Group in hospitality and Apolis in technology-driven managed services. We operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, value creativity, and pursue brand excellence across all our companies. We believe patience, purpose, and sophistication unlock lasting value — empowering us to envision not only what exists today, but what can be.

Role Overview

Eight Form is seeking a Design Coordinator (2–5 years experience) to take ownership of developing high-quality digital and visual content across Eight Form and its portfolio companies. This role emphasizes technical content creation — designing and producing materials that uphold brand standards and can be deployed across multiple channels, including social media, investor and client RFPs, marketing collateral, and conference presentations. The position requires a detail-oriented approach to layout, formatting, and brand consistency, ensuring all deliverables meet professional and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation & Design: Develop, format, and design high-quality materials for both guest-facing and B2B audiences, including hotel collateral, corporate presentations, RFP submissions, and conference materials.
  • Thought Leadership Assets: Create visual and written content that supports industry presence and positions Eight Form as a thought leader, including white papers, LinkedIn carousels, branded reports, and market trend overviews.
  • Special Projects: Lead or support design efforts for major initiatives such as the creative repositioning of a 400-room Palm Springs resort, corporate partnerships with global hospitality brands, and communications for enterprise AI solutions.
  • Brand Stewardship: Apply brand guidelines meticulously across platforms and companies to maintain consistency in visual identity, tone, and messaging.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with leadership, marketing, and operations teams to source data, images, and content for use across a variety of channels and formats.
  • Visual Asset Production: Produce and edit digital assets, including graphics, layouts, short-form video, and motion content, with an emphasis on professional polish and design intent.
  • Digital Distribution: Prepare content for deployment across multiple channels (e.g., websites, investor decks, social platforms), ensuring technical standards and design integrity are met.
  • Research & Innovation: Stay current on design trends, tools, and emerging formats to keep content relevant and compelling.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with AI-driven creative tools (e.g., ChatGPT, MidJourney, Runway, Adobe Firefly, Jasper) for design, writing, and content optimization — required.
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in content creation and design across multiple formats (digital, print, presentations, collateral).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency, design intent, and aesthetic range (graphics, layouts, branded content; motion/video a plus).
  • Expertise with industry-standard design tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, Figma (or equivalent).
  • Experience in formatting and preparing materials for professional use — RFPs, investor decks, conference collateral, and B2B communications.
  • Competence in short-form video and motion content editing (e.g., CapCut, Premiere, After Effects, or similar).
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and presentation for diverse audiences (guest-facing, corporate, and investor).
  • Strong project management skills: able to balance multiple priorities, coordinate across teams, and deliver in fast-paced environments.
  • Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for brand consistency, layout, and formatting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred, but not required — equivalent training, art school, or demonstrated experience also valued.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $52,000 – $80,000, depending on experience, location, and skillset.
  • Full-time position.
  • Flexible work environment (remote or in-office in San Diego, CA or New York, NY).
  • Health and dental insurance.
  • 401(k) plan with employer matching.
  • Flexible paid time off (PTO) and company holidays.

  • Work on bold projects: from repositioning a landmark Palm Springs resort to supporting enterprise AI strategies.
  • Entrepreneurial exposure: collaborate across hospitality, IT, real estate, and future venture capital initiatives.
  • Build industry presence: play a key role in amplifying Eight Form’s voice and positioning as a thought leader in hospitality and real estate.

  • Direct leadership access: report to the Founder & Managing Partner and see your work shape business strategy.

To Apply

  • Your resume.
  • A portfolio with relevant samples (social media visuals, designed content, white papers/long-form pieces, or carousels if available).
  • A short cover letter or summary explaining why you are excited about working across different business verticals, and what your strongest design/content skill is.
  • As part of the application process, shortlisted candidates will be given a short creative prompt to complete. This exercise is designed to evaluate creativity, aesthetic judgment, and technical execution and will be an important part of the selection process.
