Icon Media Direct, the 3rd largest independent agency in Los Angeles and an industry leader in building brands and driving client sales with performance driven media solutions, is seeking an Account Coordinator. The ideal candidate will possess a curiosity to research consumer behaviors for data insights and have a passion to develop those data insights into client solutions. The Account Coordinator position is a great way to foster client interaction skills, implement advertising/media strategy, and strengthen analytical skills. The Account Coordinator’s primary responsibilities are to work with an account team to drive our clients’ business growth with positive ROI.

The Media Assistant role is ideal for someone with strong negotiation skills and a passion for communication. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll assist with media buys across all video screens, analyze key performance metrics, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize campaigns while growing your career in a dynamic, ever-evolving industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Media Buyer with daily buying processes and ensure smooth campaign execution
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with media vendors across multiple platforms to schedule buys, gather confirmations, and process revisions
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the buying system (Core Direct) and promptly resolve discrepancies
  • Manage pre- and post-airing logs to support accurate tracking and reporting
  • Collaborate with internal and external Traffic departments to ensure all deadlines are consistently met
  • Pull and analyze media reports to inform decision-making and performance evaluation
  • Demonstrate proficiency in media metrics and a working knowledge of media research tools
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the media buying team

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces challenges with a solutions-focused mindset
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and manage multiple ongoing projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a commitment to delivering the best outcomes for clients
  • Passionate about media with a general understanding of diverse media channels and a habit of consuming media regularly
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables) for creating and pulling reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of linear and non-linear video platforms, including TV and OTT
