Meadow AI is hiring: Senior Applied AI Scientist (Audio) in Seattle

We’re seed-stage with paying customers and a strong pipeline, and we’re expanding our capabilities in audio understanding.

The role

We’re looking for a Senior Applied AI Scientist with deep experience in ASR and audio understanding. You’ll lead end-to-end audio ML work: from hardware to data pipeline to deployment. You’ll also explore how LLMs can reason over transcripts and audio-derived events. This is a hands-on, production-oriented role.

What you’ll do

• Fine-tune ASR systems for noisy, far-field, multi-speaker environments.
• Implement diarization, VAD, robust timestamping.
• Combine transcripts with LLMs for summarization and analytics.
• Deploy models to production.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years (or equivalent) working on speech/audio ML in production.
• Strong Python; comfort with common audio/ML tooling.
• Practical experience with diarization, VAD, beam search, and noise-robust training.
• Familiarity using LLMs on transcripts.

Nice to have

• Multilingual ASR or code-switching experience.
• Domain adaptation for far-field microphones, drive-thru, or retail/hospitality acoustics.
• Basic SQL and comfort collaborating with backend engineers.

Work location

Remote-friendly across U.S. time zones. We’re currently unable to provide visa sponsorship.

Compensation

Salary range: $90,000–$170,000, depending on experience, plus an equity package.
