Overview

Audio Visual Engineer with Security Clearance at Royce Geo, A GRVTY Company. The role focuses on designing and implementing audio visual and data system communication networks, supporting delivery of functional systems, troubleshooting AV systems and endpoints, and documenting issues and solutions for feedback to developers/vendors and the program.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement audio visual and data system communication networks; work with AV operations technicians and engineering resources to ensure proper delivery of functional systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting audio visual systems and endpoints; replicate issues for internal analysis/diagnosis and prepare/proofread technical documentation describing the problem and/or solution for feedback to developers/vendors and the program.
• Monitor and respond to hardware and software problems using a variety of testing tools and techniques.
• Set up and maintain audio/video equipment to include Cisco Codecs, BrightSign media players, AppSpace, DVTC systems.
• Install and configure applications software and related hardware (desktops, servers, printers, scanners, drives, projectors, monitors, touch panels, room controls).
• Provide software/hardware and system troubleshooting and support.
• Utilize AV control systems and vendors (e.g., Extron, Crestron, AMX, Christie, Planar, ClearOne, Epson) as part of system delivery.
• Provide guidance and work leadership to less experienced technicians; may have limited supervisory responsibilities.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies; be willing to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Prioritize time and efforts effectively in a busy work environment; communicate and collaborate with Managers and Administrative staff to support business objectives.
• Demonstrate strong work ethic, customer service skills, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with ability to obtain a CI Poly.
• 8-10 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.
• Advanced systems design using AutoCAD and/or Microsoft Visio.
• Experience with audio components to include Crown, Biamp, and Shure.
• Strong customer and project service skills.
• Experience in video and control systems including Extron, Crestron, AMX; AV/Control experience with Christie Digital.
• End user IT support experience; knowledge of VTC systems and support.
• Thin client using Virtual Desktop Interface technology.
• Technical written and verbal communication skills (technical writing).

Desirable Skills

• AV control systems experience; experience with DSP/Audio Visual systems.
• Knowledge of IT and AV integration, end-user support, and project coordination.
