Overview

We are looking for a Junior Community Manager to join our Organic Growth team at Jerry. This isn’t your typical community management role—it's an opportunity to help shape our media and content strategy from the ground up. In this role, you’ll work on a range of projects from strategic media outreach to content strategy and community engagement, with responsibilities that evolve over time.

This is a chance to learn and grow at the intersection of AI, SEO, and media. The role is ideal for an early-career professional who is comfortable with change and ambiguity, in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. If you’re a self-starter who thrives in fast-moving environments and is eager for hands-on experience in startup growth, we’d love to meet you.

This is a fully remote full-time role with options to work onsite in our offices in Palo Alto, Toronto, and New York.

What You'll Do

  • Engage with our audience: help execute strategies on community channels (like Reddit, Trustpilot, etc.), monitor app reviews and feedback, respond to comments, identify trends, and flag key insights for our product and engineering teams.
  • Drive organic growth: contribute to our SEO and AEO (answer engine optimization) strategies, and experiment with new AI-assisted workflows.
  • Handle public relations: work on day-to-day PR operations across consumer, tech, business, and trade outlets. Monitor news cycles, update media lists, track coverage, and build relationships with key journalists.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Reddit, Trustpilot, and other community and review platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism, communications, PR, or a related field.
  • Resourceful and proactive: fast, curious, and solution-oriented with a drive to improve processes.
  • Agile: thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple priorities as the media and tech landscapes evolve.
  • Determined: persistent and resilient, able to adapt approaches and maintain momentum after setbacks.
  • Bonus: experience in a newsroom, PR agency, or startup environment.
