We Are Blood is hiring: Creative Content Manager in Austin

Overview

We Are Blood is hiring a Creative Content Manager who is responsible for all creative asset development for external communications and content across all platforms and paid marketing, ensuring the brand is engaging and consistent, identifying and sharing community member stories to inspire Central Texans, maintaining and updating We Are Blood’s website and donor portal, and supporting mass donor communications for donor recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Develop all creative assets using the Adobe Creative Suite.
• In partnership with the Director of Communications, manage We Are Blood’s communication, marketing, and donor recruitment activities, including:
• graphic design for social platforms, email, website, print collateral, etc.
• promotional item design for screen printing
• copywriting
• photography
• video creation for social reels/stories and testimonials
• Ensure consistency in brand identity across communications platforms.
• Coordinate with Community Engagement staff for production, printing, and distribution of materials and promotional items.
• Plan and develop We Are Blood’s communications and content calendar including newsletters, blogs, social media, website, educational materials, emails, and promotional materials in coordination with the Director of Communications.
• Collaborate with all departments to understand, elevate and share organizational and community member stories to inspire Central Texans.
• Act as a thought partner to the Director of Communications in planning and development of recruitment, event, and advertising campaigns.
• Conduct ongoing audits, data analysis, and reporting for We Are Blood’s communications and marketing effectiveness.
• Perform website management, including maintaining, updating, and monitoring We Are Blood’s website and donor portal to ensure fresh creative assets, accurate information, and updated licenses and accreditations.
• Act as point person for coordination with We Are Blood’s web developer for addressing technical and UX/UI issues, ensuring training for Community Engagement staff, and using Google Analytics to monitor website activity and traffic.
• Support other WrB departments and AMO organizations with website, graphics design, photo and video editing as needed.

• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills

• 4-year degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising or Journalism. Will accept 7+ years related experience in lieu of degree.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, marketing, content creation, social media management, advertising, public relations or related field.
• High level proficiency in desktop publishing and the Adobe Creative Suite platforms, especially Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and MS Office.
• An aesthetic eye and the ability to make content across all platforms creative and engaging.
• Graphic design experience
• A high degree of creativity and vision to deliver new innovative solutions and ideas.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Experience developing and implementing a strategic communication plan.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to self-start, organize and prioritize under changing conditions.
• Excellent project management and multi-tasking abilities.
• Must be able to successfully work independently and within a team.
• Proficient in WordPress
• Experience with SEO
• Must be able to process information and draw reasonable conclusions.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid Texas driver’s license, acceptable driving record and proof of liability insurance.
