The Role
We’re looking for a concept-driven Creative Director with the craft and skills to sub in for an art director and/or copywriter; true unicorn hybrids are extra welcome to launch and lead headline-driving ideas across earned, owned, social, and global media channels to help Warners Bros tell The World’s Greatest Stories.
You’ll lead and produce culture-driving campaigns for HBO Max that get people talking in order to sell the world’s most iconic characters and already-interesting film & TV. That’s your daily canvas, and creative bar. Collaboration is key.
As a 360° thinker who can pitch a big idea in a sentence, you know how to inject our brands into the conversation—how to turn insights into scroll-stopping content, made with taste & respect for the artists and the audience as only a true fan could, how to conceive & launch unexpected partnerships to invite others in, and how to make the most of moments that’ll make you & everyone we know want to talk about wtf happened last night.
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Help shape our new brand voice to help reinforce HBO Max’s high-quality DNA
- Lead the creative development of campaigns that are social-first and PR-worthy—from concept to execution. Big ideas traditional advertising craft.
- Skilled, empathetic collaboration to inspire teams across a global streamer (brand strategy, editorial, a/v, experiential, art, copy, influencers, producers).
- Craft work that’s native to social platforms (TikTok, X, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit) and optimized for conversation and sharing.
- Pitch bold, earned ideas that land in pop culture, press headlines and social algorithms.
- Partner with brand strategy and comms teams to identify cultural opportunities, real-time moments, and community-driven trends.
- Ensure all work aligns with HBO Max brand positioning and meets the highest standard of creative excellence, originality, and relevance.
Who You Are
- Minimum of 8 years creative experience in advertising , branded content, social media, or PR—with a proven track record of work that earned attention.
- Deep understanding of entertainment — film, TV, music, fashion, internet culture,humor, social trends, meme stuff, and influencer ecosystems.
- Conceptual excellence: You’re as strong on big-earned campaign ideas as you are on platform-native executions. (You have ideas and can execute with little supervision).
- Culturally tuned-in: You have an instinct for what’s about to be a thing, not just what’s trending. You think about why that’s next, and can articulate that to those unconvinced.
- Comfortable with fast-turn creative, editorial thinking, and real-time moments.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $133,000.00 – $247,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
