The Senior Designer, Women’s Footwear, will report to the Design Director. The ideal candidate needs to be a highly creative problem solver, who’s passion, positive outlook, and work ethic collate to clever and elevated design solutions. Their primary role will be to incorporate almost 100 years of footwear design and envision, creating, and developing elevated brand relevant products.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Under the direction of the Design Director, the Senior Footwear Designer will lead junior designer, design and develop product, concept and technical development
- Execute from initial design, overseeing fit sample, and deliver final product through completion
- Partner with Product Line Management and Product Development to create fashion relevant products across multiple categories
- Strong work ethic, organizational skills, detail oriented, and solution oriented
- Deliver on-time product solutions in conjunction with the product calendar and business needs ensuring that all deadlines, line plans and deliverables are met
- Partner with Product Merchandising in the creation of line plans, briefs and final product solutions aligned with business goals, consumer needs (style and function), and brand stories
- Collaborate and communicate across multiple teams to create strong market relevant product stories across disciplines
- Partner with Color/Cad and Materials team to render styles and complete techpacks
- Manage and mentor junior members of the team for guidance and design deliverables
- Provide and present timely and relevant business, design, consumer, and cultural storytelling in conjunction with specific projects and briefs
- Lead in the development of appropriate sell-in tools to effectively communicate concepts and strategies
- Study and research current and future trends; maintain expert knowledge in design trends, production techniques, and new technologies
- Conduct research onsite and off to bring new ideas to the category and brand
Qualifications
- Highly creative problem solver with passion, positive outlook, and strong work ethic
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Line Management, Product Development, Color/Cad and Materials
- Experience leading junior designers and mentoring team members
- Strong conceptual and technical design capabilities with a focus on fashion-relevant products
- Ability to manage timelines and deliverables per product calendar
