Department Details

This role is primarily dedicated to the Health Plan service lines and responsible for leading the creation of graphics, collateral and digital assets with an emphasis on high-level animation work. Intermediate to advanced Adobe After Effects skills preferred.

The ideal candidate works cooperatively with a wide variety of people, adapts to continuous change in work demands, and shifts focus smoothly among activities.

Job Summary

Develops and monitors indicators for quality and continuous improvement to promote consistency and a high level of quality aligned with the Sanford brand. Delegates effectively, prioritizes and negotiates project demands, and seeks alternative outcomes. Demonstrates a high level of design and production expertise and the ability to complete complex, large- and small-scale projects within assigned budgets and timelines.

Shows professional and technical expertise with the ability to develop creative solutions for a wide range of needs. Communicates effectively with clients. Possesses thorough understanding of printing, graphics and marketing concepts and principles. Produces various collateral (advertisements, newsletters, brochures, forms, posters and related projects) for Sanford. Demonstrates strong graphic design knowledge and applies design principles and techniques creatively.

Exhibits outstanding skills in Adobe Creative Suite. Demonstrates thorough understanding of and adherence to the Sanford brand. Communicates effectively to a variety of clients. Organizes and delivers quality work. Collaborates within the design team and broader marketing team to conceptualize and produce solutions for a target audience.

Demonstrates strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple requests. Maintains flexibility and effective time management. Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, and systems thinking. Aligns with the organization’s vision and values. Manages change effectively and uses a systems approach to problem solving and process improvement. Keeps knowledge up-to-date on computer hardware and software advancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in graphic design, commercial art, industrial illustration, fine arts or related field.
• Minimum of three years of graphic design experience, preferably in an agency or corporate setting.
• Proficiency in graphic design programs (InDesign, Photoshop, QuarkXPress, Illustrator) and up-to-date with similar tools.
• Experience in digital photography, output, scanning, archiving, HTML/web design, layout, printing production, color, typography, and illustration.
