Position Overview: The Media Coordinator is an hourly employee who plays a key role in telling Putnam County’s story, connecting visitors with unforgettable experiences, and supporting our tourism and outdoor recreation goals. This position focuses on digital marketing, advertising, content creation, and community partnerships. The Media Coordinator reports to the Executive Director, also working closely with local organizations and community partners to increase awareness and visitation, while helping manage daily operations at the Visitors Center.

Qualifications
- Experience: 2–3 years in tourism, marketing, hospitality, communications, or related field.
- Skills: Social media management and digital marketing; WordPress website editing; Microsoft Office proficiency; strong written and verbal communication, including public speaking; networking, relationship-building, and advocacy skills; knowledge of Putnam County assets and opportunities; self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
- Primarily on-site at the Visitors Center in Greencastle.
- Some evening/weekend hours may be required for meetings, events, and community activities.
- Limited opportunities for remote work.

Compensation
- • $21.50 an hour, with experience considered
- PTO, telephone reimbursement, mileage, HSA contribution
