Drone Operations (Part107)/Visual Observer (GSO/VO)

Position Type: Full Time

Contract Duration: 12 months with the possibility of extension

Location: Charlotte, NC (ONSITE)

Shift: Rotational

Nature of the Job: This is not a pilot position. Primarily Ground Support, with minimal Visual Observation (VO), which is expected to be phased out in the near future.

Overview

This role supports Drone Operations (Part 107) and Visual Observation (GSO/VO). It focuses on ground support activities with limited VO responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide ground support for drone operations under Part 107.
• Perform Visual Observation (VO) as required, with VO phased out in the near future.

Qualifications

• Possess a current driver’s license.
• Possess a valid 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (does not need to be current, but must not have been suspended or revoked).

Start Date and Training

• Start Date: Monday, September 29
• Training: In-person 7-day paid training in Dallas for selected consultants. All Charlotte-based resources are required to attend. Travel and lodging expenses will be covered. Travel to Dallas will be on Sunday, October 6.

• Commute: There may be occasions where commuting between client locations is required.
