Overview

PEI Group is seeking a Conference Producer to join our welcoming, diverse, and growing team on a 9-month FTC to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and delivering our flagship real estate investing PERE Asia conference (H1 2026), and will also support other events across the broader PEI Media private markets portfolio in Asia. The role requires strong industry engagement, content development skills, and the ability to manage projects from research and agenda creation through to on-site execution and post-event analysis.

Purpose of Role

  • Service and connect the key players in private investment markets through the production of substantive conferences.
  • Drive the top line revenue growth of annual events.
  • Be attuned to opportunities to develop the event portfolio with well-researched, commercially viable conference ideas.
  • Be a credible and respected face of PEI in the markets we serve.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Conference Programming & Industry Engagement
    • Lead the research, design, and delivery of high-quality, substantive conference agendas in collaboration with editorial, marketing, and global production colleagues.
    • Build and maintain a strong understanding of global private markets, fostering relationships with key investors, managers, and industry stakeholders.
    • Ensure events are topical, accurate, and feature leading market participants from across the investor and GP community.
  • Speaker & Content Management
    • Identify, invite, and confirm speakers and moderators; manage prep calls, panel organization, and content updates.
    • Work closely with the operations team on logistics, website/platform updates, and venue requirements.
  • Global Collaboration & Strategy
    • Coordinate with producers in other regions to align content, ensure consistency, and share speaker leads across the global portfolio.
    • Contribute to the development of new event formats and innovations to enhance the portfolio.
  • Audience Development & Community Engagement
    • Oversee and contribute to audience development strategies to ensure the right mix of LPs, GPs, and other stakeholders.
  • Commercial & Sponsorship Collaboration
    • Partner closely with the sponsorship sales team to deliver maximum value to sponsors and explore opportunities for enhanced collaboration.
    • Share market insights and leads with delegate sales and investor engagement teams to drive attendance, subscriptions, and membership value.
  • Event Delivery & Reporting
    • Manage all aspects of onsite event delivery, including platform knowledge, technical requirements, and ensuring seamless execution.
    • Leverage event delivery to strengthen networks and expand industry contacts.
    • Produce post-event reports and wash-ups to capture successes, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Marketing & Communications
    • Liaise with marketing and design teams to deliver content, speaker updates, and promotional materials to deadline.
    • Ensure consistent messaging of event USPs to internal sales teams and external stakeholders.
  • Values & ESG Alignment
    • Ensure conferences align with the company’s values and ESG goals.
    • Proactively promote diversity and inclusion within the speaking faculty and event programming.

About You

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial conference production or commercial experience in another field.
  • A minimum of 2 years speaker recruitment experience.
  • Experience working within financial or private equity conferences is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with senior-level finance professionals is desirable but not essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
