We call our Austin, TX, headquarters home and have a hybrid work model that allows employees the flexibility to work from home one day per week. Our dog-friendly office is centrally located north of downtown and features a fully stocked kitchen, on-site fitness room, and hosts quarterly company-wide team events.
The Role The VP of Marketing will be both the visionary of Billd’s marketing strategy and a hands-on leader ready to roll up their sleeves to execute. This leader will report directly to the CEO and work closely with an amazing GTM exec team to drive measurable growth across our customer acquisition channels.
The mandate for this role is clear: support 30% annual growth in our core financial products while successfully launching several new products and channels.
At its core, success in this role comes down to three things:
Champion of the Sub Storytelling – Be the visionary of our content and customer engagement, shaping how Billd tells the subcontractor story and positions itself as the Champion of the Sub. Along with our content team, lead brand voice, content strategy, and thought leadership that deeply resonates with our customer.
B2B Performance Marketing Execution – Develop and execute Billd’s performance marketing strategy with a relentless focus on measurable outcomes: pipeline growth, CAC, LTV, conversion rates, and ROI. Build campaigns that support Outbound Sales, Supplier Referrals, Technology Partner Referrals, Turner Referrals, and Predictable Pay Referrals.
Marketing Innovation with AI + AIO – Transform how Billd distributes content and generates demand by innovating with artificial intelligence and AIO-driven marketing approaches. Stay ahead of industry shifts, testing and scaling modern distribution models that maximize reach, efficiency, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Growth – Deliver marketing-sourced pipeline that supports 30% annual revenue growth in core products, while building demand for new product launches and channel expansions.
Revenue Alignment – Partner with Sales leadership to ensure marketing efforts translate into a cohesive customer experience and delivery of value proposition.
Demand Generation Execution – Design and optimize multi-channel programs (ABM, paid digital, outbound support, events) with a relentless focus on new logo velocity and CAC:LTV.
Paid and Search – Own strategy and execution of all paid media (search, social, ABM, events, partner referrals, etc), optimizing investments with our partner agency, driving demand and capture.
Content & Messaging – Be the visionary of thought leadership, case studies, video, and digital campaigns that engage subcontractors and partners.
Channel Marketing – Build high-performing referral and co-marketing campaigns with suppliers, technology partners and Predictable Pay.
Analytics & Attribution – Establish tracking for funnel performance, pipeline velocity, and ROI. Continuously optimize spend and programs using data-driven insights.
Team Leadership – Build and lead a marketing team focused on execution speed, accountability, and measurable results.
Brand Growth – Ensure brand and messaging are consistent across all channels while tying brand awareness directly to pipeline creation and revenue.
Skills and Qualifications
Experience in construction or construction technology not required but highly encouraged given the focus on content for our customer.
10+ years in B2B marketing, with significant experience in demand generation and growth marketing.
Proven track record of delivering marketing-sourced pipeline that supports double-digit annual revenue growth in a high-growth company.
Expertise in paid media, campaign optimization, and attribution modeling across digital and ABM channels.
Strong command of growth metrics: CAC, LTV, pipeline velocity, funnel conversion rates, and marketing ROI.
Experience launching marketing strategies for both established products and new product rollouts.
Skilled in marketing automation, CRM, and analytics platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, Metabase).
Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills; comfortable working directly with executive leadership.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
